Terms of Service

Last updated: July 8, 2026

Welcome to OnaVol. By accessing or using our application, website, or services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

OnaVol provides software tools to log, organize, and calculate mileage, expenses, and tax-related records for self-employed Canadian drivers, including delivery drivers, rideshare drivers, and other professional drivers. Users are solely responsible for the accuracy of all odometer readings, vehicle costs, receipts, and other information entered into the Service.

2. No Professional Advice Disclaimer

OnaVol is an independent software tool and does not provide legal, accounting, or tax advice. We are not affiliated with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) or any professional accounting body. While our systems are aligned with CRA guidelines, all reports and calculations generated by OnaVol are draft-assist worksheets only. You must review all generated reports with a qualified CPA or tax advisor before filing. OnaVol accepts no liability for outcomes arising from reliance on these worksheets without professional review.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Premium plans are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis, as selected at signup. Subscription fees are generally deductible as a business expense for self-employed Canadians; consult your tax advisor to confirm the correct treatment for your situation. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

5. Report Accuracy

Reports and exports generated by OnaVol reflect only the data you have entered. Reports based on incomplete records, bulk-entered historical data, or data entered shortly before export may not accurately represent a full tax year. OnaVol is not responsible for inaccuracies arising from incomplete or improperly reconstructed records.

6. Service Availability and Eligibility

We want OnaVol to be fair and reliable for everyone who uses it — which sometimes means we need the flexibility to limit, suspend, or refuse access to the Service, including specific features or Premium access, at our discretion. This may include cases of suspected misuse, fraud, violation of these Terms, or non-payment. We also reserve the right to modify, restrict, or discontinue any feature, plan, or subscription tier at any time.

7. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of the data you enter into OnaVol. You may export or delete your data at any time, subject to our Privacy Policy.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to circumvent subscription limits, submitting fraudulent information, or using the Service for any unlawful purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OnaVol and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any tax reassessment, penalty, or financial loss resulting from reliance on OnaVol's calculations or reports without independent professional review.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which OnaVol operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
